Understand and learn the Quranic Classical Arabic meaning of every word and every verse in the entire Quran in simple to understand modern English with audio pronunciations.
Rather than learning words in isolation and without context, the Quran Study app turns every word in the Quran into a flashcard with Arabic on one side and the English translation on the other side. This will help you to learn the English translation of the Arabic words as they are used in the context of the verses.
Simply select the range of verses from the Quran, and the app will generate flashcards along with multiple-choice questions for all the words in the selected range.
The English translation is based on Classical Arabic sources and translated in an attempt to best match the proper meaning of the words as they were understood at the time the Quran was revealed over 1400 years ago.
Arabic idioms are translated literally, but also explained in detail for proper understanding. For example, the Arabic idiom: "don't enter homes through the back door" would be equivalent to English idiom: "don't beat around the bush."
Additionally, you can read the full translation of the verse, see all the various ways any word is used throughout the Quran based on its corresponding root, and a grid view showing the word for word translation of each word in its corresponding verse.
God willing, this app will serve as a tool to help sincere users better understand God's word in the Quran.
How to get started with the app:
At the top of the app you can select a Sura (1 - 114) of the Quran along with the "Start Verse" and "Stop Verse" (if you leave the cell blank or type 999, it will take to the last verse in the selected Sura).
After choosing a range and clicking "Select" the app will generate flashcards and multiple choice questions for every single word in the selected range.
"Reader" tab will show you the entire verse both in Arabic and the translation in English.
"Flashcard" tab will generate flashcards for every word (sequentially by default) in the range selected. Tapping the card will show you the translation. Swipe cards to see the next word in the list.
"Multiple Choice" tab will generate multiple choice questions for every word (sequentially by default) in the range selected. Tapping an answer will let you know if you selected the right translation. Swiping to the right will show you the next word on the list.
"Grid" tab will show you a translation of the verse for every word in a grid view for the selected range.
On the top of the word in Flashcard and Multiple Choice tabs you will see the three letter root of the word in blue. If you click the three letter root it will show you all the words in the Quran that contain that root along with their corresponding location and translation. You can also double-tap the Arabic text in the Root view to sort the list alphabetically by Arabic.
